Farewell For Now :)

With much sadness, Catherine and I have decided to devote our time to some other things at the moment.  Teardropjar has been an experience for us, and we will take this experience with us.  I think this blog was almost like an experiment to see what we like and dislike about blogging, how to blog, and what to blog about.  We will still be on the internet, of course.  We may be starting a new blog with a few other fangilrs and maybe fanboys, but at the time only a few steps have been taken to complete that idea.  The next blog is under construction and may be up at the end of the month if we follow through with the plan.  Thank you for reading our posts, we had fun writing them and designing the blog for your enjoyment, as well as our own.  This blog will remain up just incase we would like to go back here in the future, which I will probably do.  I adore this blog with my whole heart and will not completely abandon it, I promise that.  I had a wonderful experience with this blog, as it was my first actual blog.  You usually remember your first experiences... right?  I will always remember this blog and will keep it close to my heart.  Thank you for this experience, I am sure you will read our new blog soon enough if you keep your eyes open for information on our Instagrams, and maybe even on here, depending on what Catherine thinks.

Thank you and goodbye for now,
Kate.
And if Catherine doesn't post again, then goodbye from the whole jar.  We very much enjoyed this experience. Thank you for the adventure :)

Booktubeathon

I think this is going around on the interwebs of Instagram and YouTube, partially in the BookTube and book nerd world.  I think I may have the dates wrong, but this event started yesterday (July 14th) and ends in 7 days on July 20th.  I heard this from Sasha Alsberg, a Booktuber and Instagramer. Here are her links
YouTube
Instagram
Twitter
Goodreads
I absolutely adore Sasha, she has the best bookshelf EVER and gives wonderful book recommendations!

Anyways, here are the challenges:
  • A book with pictures.
  • Start and finish a series.
  • A book with red on the cover.
  • A book someone else picks out for you.
  • A book from the genre you've read the least from this year.
  • Read a book then watch it's adaptation.
  • Read 7 books or an average of 300 pages per day.
(You may only use one book for two challenges plus the 7 book/300 page challenge)
And here is what I plan on reading for each:
  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
  • The Selection series by Kiera Cass
  • The Elite by Kiera Cass
  • The Selection by Kiera Cass
  • These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman
  • The Book Theif by Markus Zusak
I think it was pretty clever how I put 3 challenges into 1, I don't think that is supposed to happen but hey, I have 6 days and am currently reading the entire Harry Potter series.

Happy booktubeathoning???

P.S. Follow my goodreads account, and I will friend you back, I need more reviews on books!

Bad Jokes and Goodbye.

You thought goodbye meant that I was leaving, not yet.  Connor left O2L.  That wasn't light news.  "An ode to ..... Old2L.  Hi Connor!"  Sad.

Epic Reads reached 30,000 followers on Instagram, and in celebration of the goal, Epic Reads has created the #EpicReads30 tag, in which you post a picture of 30 of your favorite books on Instagram.  I decided to do it a bit differently and post them here (but I will get around to posting them on Instagram... until then, this will have to do!)
I will be giving the title, author and link to Goodreads.  I am counting each book in a series separately, and the list has no order, but my all time favorite series is obviously first.

  29. Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
  30. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
And those are my top 30 favorite books in no particular order.  I'm drafting a lot more lately so that I will be able to post on time.  This week I will be away for the Fouth of July week, so I am not sure if I will be able to post or not.  I will post as soon as I can.  To all our American viewers: Happy Fourth of July! I hope that you are enjoying the food and fireworks.  To our non-American viewers: Happy Thursday and Friday!
